On His Behalf

Genesis 1:26 (NIV) – Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

The earth and the sun
The skies, stars, and moon
The birds, trees and the bees
Everything that crawls, walks or flies
That which we can and cannot see
Came to be when He said, Let there be

But out of dust came man and his mate
In His very own image, them did He create
Them He called His precious dear children
And made them in-charge of all of creation
To rule and subdue and to use wisely
The resources that He has given freely

Yes, to look after on His behalf, He has called us
Stewards of all that He has graciously given us
For talents, resources received we need to give
An account, for the way we use and how we live
So may we ever responsible be, with every single thing
Even our very lives, be to Him, a fragrant offering
