More Than Able

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

As we look around and are often overwhelmed by all that is happening, the Word of God reminds us to trust Him, to lean on His understanding, rather than our own. We may not always understand the what and why, but we can always count on the Who. We can count on Him who is our Creator, the Sovereign one, our loving Father, who holds the whole world in His hands.

There is not one of us who can say
That we have not experienced God
His goodness in our lives, each day
Ways small and big, evident for all to see

From the sun that never forgets to rise
To the waves of the seas that flow in tide
And everything that goes on in-between
His goodness follows us all along our way

From the tiniest cell to the complex systems
Of our amazingly formed human bodies
He tenderly holds the delicate balance
Of its unimaginable complexity

Why then would we not trust Him
Why lean on our own understanding
Why take on ourselves the burden
Of figuring out things, we can not

Choose my friend to remember instead
The One whom you have believe-ed
He is more than willing and able to
Provide, guide, as by your side He walks
