3. Jesus Came to Heal the Sin-sick Soul

SERIES: 31 REASONS TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS

Mark 2:17
When Jesus heard it, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

We celebrate Christmas because

  • Jesus is the perfect doctor of our souls who alone can heal us of our sins.
  • Jesus provides a complete cure and even pays the doctor’s fee.
  • Jesus came to call us to repentance.

Lord, may my celebrations this season reflect my gratitude to you for healing my sin-sick soul. May I be quick to respond to you with repentance.
