2 Peter 1:4
by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may beÂ partakers of the divine nature, having escaped theÂ corruptionÂ that isÂ in the world through lust.

We celebrate Christmas because we celebrate

Jesus’ glory and virtue which motivated Him to give us exceedingly great and precious promises
that through the promises of God, we are adopted as sons and daughters of God (Galatians 4:5-7)
the amazing deep love of God that wants to share His life and even His divine nature with us

What amazing love Lord that you adopt me as your child, giving me your divine nature.
