02: Confident and Victorious

Published on Oct 25, 2024

1 John 4:4 – You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

In a war, the strength and resources of those in the battle determine the victor.

Christians in spiritual warfare fight from a place of victory. Jesus who paid the ransom for our sins by His death on the cross rose victorious over death and the grave. For those of us who have accepted Christ as our personal Savior, we have His indwelling Spirit in us (1 John 3:24). The indwelling Spirit of God is greater than he who in the world Satan and all his allies. And so, the apostle John says, we have overcome.

If you and I, as believers rely on the vital resource of Him who is in us, instead of relying on ourselves, or those around us, we have victory. This truth gives us great confidence and spiritual power to face the challenges of life. For those walking in this truth, victory is assured, we have already overcome. The Christian has no place for fear. Though we may have many spiritual enemies, not one of them is greater than the One who lives in us.

Are you facing your battles today from His victory?

Thank you, Lord, that you are more than sufficient for my every battle.
