1 Timothy 1:15
This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.
Hebrews 9:26
He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.
We celebrate Christmas because we celebrate Jesus
- for being the perfect sacrifice, once and for all, fully satisfying God’s holy justice
- and His perfect sacrifice which means that our sins are atoned once and for all
- continues to intercede for us, defending us against the accuser of God’s people (Revelation 12:10).
Thank you Lord for being the perfect sacrifice on my behalf, saving me from hell and death.
