16. Jesus, the Proclaimer of Good News

SERIES: 31 REASONS TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS

Luke 4:18-19
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”

We celebrate Christmas because we celebrate Jesus

  • He came to proclaim the Good News
  • who came to bring deliverance, to be the deliverance for us
  • who came to heal the brokenhearted and set the captives free

Thank you Lord for setting me free and the healing you bring to my brokenheart.
Help me live each day in the true freedom I have in you.
