Love Means Action

1 John 3:18 (NIV) – Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.

Love is not an emotion
Rather, actual intentional action
Love sometimes means a tough choice
When your heart says otherwise

Love is to let go, even though
All you want to do is keep score
To be blind to the warts and the wrinkles
Of those with whom you daily mingle

Love chooses not to show off
But rather shows others off
Love does not compare
Nor does it scream – not fair

Love is choosing to accept
Those around, them to protect
Love is, being for the other happy
Whatever be your own story

What compels your interactions with people?
