See, I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you along the way and to bring you to the place I have prepared. Pay attention to him and listen to what he says. Do not rebel against him; he will not forgive your rebellion, since my Name is in him.

God Promises His Presence
God promises His presence and direction to His children.
God promised that an Angel would go before the Israelites. This unique Angel commands the obedience of Israel and had the right of judgment over the nation. The name of the Lord was in this Angel, who is considered to be Jesus appearing in the Old Testament before His incarnation in Bethlehem. The Angel would go before them into the place that God had prepared for them.
We as Christians have the same promise today. We have the Holy Spirit who is with us and leads us every step of our way. God promises to direct and guide us through our life’s journey. We walk today in the place that is prepared by God. The Bible reminds us that the steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord. He delights in every detail of our lives (Psalms 37:23-24). The Bible also reminds us that Jesus goes before us to prepare a place for us in heaven (John 14:2-3).
Are you facing challenges today, that are boggling your mind and overwhelming you? Are you standing at crossroads, wondering which way to turn? God has wonderful plans for you. He promises that we will find Him when we seek Him with all our heart (Jeremiah 29:11-13).
What is stopping you from seeking Him with all your heart today – fear, despair, worry, over-confidence, busyness? Would you ask God to help you seek and trust that indeed He leadeth you?
