Isaiah 9:6-7
For unto us a Child is born, unto us aÂ Son is given; andÂ the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor,Â Mighty God, Everlasting Father,Â Prince of Peace.^ÂOf the increase ofÂ HisÂ government and peace there will beÂ no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. TheÂ zeal of theÂ LordÂ of hosts will perform this.

We celebrate Christmas because we celebrate Jesus

our Prince of Peace, who died for us when we were yet sinners (Romans 5:10)
restored us to a relationship of peace with God
gives us a deep, abiding peace between us and our Creator that cannot be taken away (John 10:27-28)

Thank you Lord Jesus for restoring our relationship with God forever. May we reflect this confidence to all we interact with this season.
