Lean On The Rock

Psalm 18:2 (NIV) – The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Disappointments are real
Discouragements are sure to come
No one is perfect, no not one

People will disappoint you
Even those among your closest few
No one is perfect, no not one

Now you are not perfect
You too will disappoint
No one is perfect, not even you

All have flaws, no one perfect
So be real when you expect
Remember they are dust, as are you

Yet there is truly only One
Who is ever there, even when no other
No, He will never disappoint, the only One

So lean hard on Him the Rock
And not on man, mere sand
For He alone is perfect, the only One

God Restores: The Power of His Word

God Restores: The Power of His Word

Our God is a God not just of second chances, but many chances. Getting right with God after a time of rebellion must always begin and center on God’s word. In those moments when we feel broken, lost, or burdened by guilt, it is through the Word that we find hope and healing. It is in the promises and teachings of Scripture that we encounter the very heart of God, who longs to restore and renew us.

Our Jealous God Demands Exclusive Devotion

God’s jealousy is love in action. He refuses to share the human heart with any rival, not because He is selfish, but because He knows that our very moral life depends on our loyalty to Him.
