Lord as into this New Year I step
This my prayer this my request
Give me joy Lord, Give me love
That to a watching world
I would live to show, the beauty
Of a life that in You is found!

Lord as into this New Year I step
No clue have I of what to expect
Of what the joys or what the tears
But this for sure I know and believe
The One who called me
Is with me and will never leave.

Lord as into this New Year I step
This my prayer this my request
With each day I would increasingly be
Aware and accepting of Your love for me
So that to the hurting world that I see
Reflection of this love I would be!
