The Battle Is Not Yours

2 Chronicles 20:15 (NIV) – …This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.

When battles of life overwhelm you
And each day brings challenges anew
When the pain and distress
Often makes absolutely no sense
Be still my soul
Know that the battle
Is the Lord’s, not yours
Trust Him today

When all around you are people
But there isn’t any, who are able
Your pain to understand
To walk with you, to hold your hand
Be still my soul
Know that He, His promise will
Keep, never to leave you
Walk with Him today

Yes, His is the battle
He your Protector
His is the battle
He your Shield and Defender
So, be still my soul
Know that the battle
Is the Lord’s, not yours
Rest in Him today

Part 5: Compelled by Mercy

Those who are grateful for mercy, are merciful. The bottomless well of mercy extended, should motivate and compel one to pass on the blessing.
