I AM The True Vine

John 15:1-2 (NIV) – “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, so that it will be even more fruitful.

I AM says the Lord
I AM the True Vine
I AM He in whom you must abide
For a life that bears much fruit

Do lives around seem to surprise
Lives that claim to be lived for Me
Yet do you tend to wonder as you see
Why these lives so very dry, empty be?

Much this world needs My love unconditional,
To know the peace that only I am able
Joy found in Me is rare,
In a world ridden with so much care

Patience in things small and big
Come only when faithfulness to Me is real
Kindness and goodness will be grossly lacking
Until self-control, gentleness is part of every deal

I AM says the Lord
I AM the True Vine
I AM He in whom you must abide
To live a life that bears much fruit

So abide in Me, says He
And let Me abide in thee
Let Me grow and prune you each day
That in you be seen, fruit in a great array

So, go bless this world, would you?
Thru all that you say and do
By living your life intertwined with Me
For I am the True Vine, abide in Me

Part 6: Cleansed and Focused

The person with a pure heart can see God in nature, in Scripture, in the people around. They will enjoy greater intimacy with God than they could have imagined.
Would the Lord find yours to be a heart that is pure?

Part 5: Compelled by Mercy

Those who are grateful for mercy, are merciful. The bottomless well of mercy extended, should motivate and compel one to pass on the blessing.
