Master the Tempest is Raging!

Mark 4:37-40
A great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that the boat was already being swamped. But he was in the stern, asleep on the cushion; and they woke him up and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” He woke up and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” Then the wind ceased, and there was a dead calm. He said to them, “Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith?”

When the lashing waves of fear and doubt

Threaten to topple your helpless little boat

Reach out to Him who rules the sea

At whose command – Peace! Be still!

Waves are hushed, raging seas, calmed

When you find yourself helpless

Faced with a sea of sinking realities

With an army of challenges in hot pursuit

Trust Him who makes a way

Where there seems to be no way

When what you have is pitiably little

As against the multitude of your needs

Offer to Him your five loaves and two fish

Knowing that He can bless and multiple

Satisfying the needs and hunger of many

For He the One faithful and true

Yes, He the same God remains

Yesterday, today, and forever

So, friend as you ride tempestuous seas

Your Lord and Master truly, is He?

The person with a pure heart can see God in nature, in Scripture, in the people around. They will enjoy greater intimacy with God than they could have imagined.
Would the Lord find yours to be a heart that is pure?

Part 5: Compelled by Mercy

Those who are grateful for mercy, are merciful. The bottomless well of mercy extended, should motivate and compel one to pass on the blessing.
