Day 10: From Unbelief to Unswerving Faith

Published on Jan 11, 2022

Victorious Christian Living

Unbelief, doubt, and worry plague our minds constantly Lord, and reflect in how we respond to life situations, day in and day out. We don’t take you at your word Lord, or live confidently each day, by the many promises in your word. We are so often full of fear and worry because deep down we don’t believe, that you are able, or that you can and will handle our problems, or simply that you are willing to do it for us. We many a time are guilty of trying to fix our own problems with our limited human understanding, rather than trust you and letting you take control. Forgive us, Lord, we pray.

Give us Lord, faith, strong and unswerving, in you. Help us like the centurion believe, that a word from you is indeed more than enough for even the toughest of our situations. Lord, like the Hebrew boys in the fiery furnace, who were willing to trust you even if it meant their very lives, help us have courageous faith, through the small and big challenges of our lives. Give us Lord, increasing deep-rooted faith in you, this coming year, and so may we please you, we pray.

Hebrews 11:6 – But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Daniel 3:17-18 – If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. 18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.”

Ponder this: Which area(s) of my life am I holding back and not trusting the Lord with?

Those who are grateful for mercy, are merciful. The bottomless well of mercy extended, should motivate and compel one to pass on the blessing.
