Day 2: From Complacency to Passionate Zeal

Victorious Christian Living

Lord as we look back we confess that we have been complacent many a time. We have taken you and your amazing love for granted, We have so easily forgotten the unexplainable price you paid for each of us, when you chose to come down to earth to die on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin.

Help us Lord never to lose the wonder and awe of the price you chose to pay for us on that cross of Calvary that we may have eternal life. Give us Lord, fresh waves of gratitude, which spur us to action. Fill us Lord with deep passion and zeal for you and your kingdom purposes. Give us Lord deep desire to diligently serve you with all our hearts in all that you give us to do. May our lives increasingly be filled with thoughts and deeds that bring you honour and glory, as our act of worship and reasonable service to you, we pray.

John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Romans 12:1 – I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service.

Ponder this: Who or what is the subject of my passion and zeal?

God Restores: The Power of His Word

Our God is a God not just of second chances, but many chances. Getting right with God after a time of rebellion must always begin and center on God’s word. In those moments when we feel broken, lost, or burdened by guilt, it is through the Word that we find hope and healing. It is in the promises and teachings of Scripture that we encounter the very heart of God, who longs to restore and renew us.
