9. Jesus’ Submission and Obedience

SERIES: 31 REASONS TO CELEBRATE CHRISTMAS

John 6:38
For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

Hebrews 10:7
Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come, in the volume of the book it is written of Me, to do Your will, O God.’ ”

We celebrate Christmas because we celebrate Jesus

  • who came down from heaven to do His Father’s will
  • who by the act of His will submitted to the incarnation and the cross at the appointed time.
  • who wasn’t interested in His own agenda

Lord thank you for your obedience which brought me life.
May my agenda in life and in my celebrations always, only be –
to obediently do your will.
