he will dwell on the heights; his place of defense will be the fortresses of rocks; his bread will be given him; his water will be sure. Isaiah 33:16
The distinction is clear. | WATCH ON YOUTUBE
In the earlier part of this chapter, the Lord had pronounced woes on those who destroy, who betray, those who sin. He says these sinners in Zion are terrified and gripped with fear. And yet, those who are righteous, their lives are distinctly different. And He describes a righteous person.
A righteous person intentionally keeps away from sin. His senses and his actions are controlled. He walks right, he talks right. He shakes his hand to keep clear of bribes. He is careful about what he hears and sees. The future of such a person is secure, his needs are provided for and his position is high and secure.
God’s Word is distinctly clear about His will for us. The Bible is full of clear instruction about how we are to live, what we are to do and not.
We are often anxious to know and do God’s will especially when we are at crossroads of life and have important decisions to make. Decisions maybe regarding education, career, and even marriage. Everyone longs to know that their future is safe. But the important and pertinent question to ask is, if we are doing all that we know to be His will, as revealed in His Word.
When you are living out God’s will in the everyday life, you will end up knowing and doing God’s will in the big decisions of life too.
How are you living out God’s revealed will for you today?
Lord, help me live my life every day by what I already know in your Word, I pray.
