Against All Odds ( Luke 1:26-38) SUBMISSION

Published on Oct 1, 2025

“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your Word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her. – Luke 1:38

Mary received extraordinary news.| WATCH ON YOUTUBE

Mary, a young girl from Nazareth was betrothed to be married to Joseph. She looked forward to her wedding with great joy and anticipation. She was extra thrilled as she had heard that her older cousin, Elizabeth, who had been barren all these years, had conceived.

As Mary busily went about her chores, thinking of all these things, she had an unexpected visitor. Standing before her was Gabriel, the angel of the Lord. He came bearing startling news.

Gabriel told Mary that she would be with child, by the Holy Spirit! That she, a virgin, would become pregnant and deliver God’s own Son. She was to call Him Jesus.

All kinds of thoughts raced through her mind in that short time. How could this be? It was unheard of. What would she say to Joseph? What would people say when they found her pregnant out of wedlock?

And yet, Mary’s response was priceless. What courage, what humility. Though the questions and doubts were all real, she responded with a heart of submission and complete trust in God.

Mary’s willingness to submit to God against all odds and challenges gave the world Jesus Christ the Saviour. Could God have done it if Mary had refused? Of course. But thank God that He chooses to use mere mortals to fulfill His divine purposes.

What is your response to what God is asking you to do?

Lord, give me a humble and submissive heart, I pray.

Amazing Faith (Luke 7:1-10) FAITH

Faith that moves the heart of God is not about worthiness — it’s about believing He can simply speak the word, and it will be done.
