Yet again! The exodus of the children of Israel out of Egypt must have been a spectacular sight. God had called Moses to lead His people out. He gave Moses careful instructions for each step of the way. Moses was to go and tell Pharaoh to let His people go. And if he refused, God would send plagues on the Egyptians. But time and again, when Moses went and spoke to him, Pharaoh refused to listen.

The plague of the rain and hail and thunder was the seventh in a line of ten plagues. For all the six earlier plagues, Pharaoh had gone back on his word. Pharaoh remained stubborn. He and his officials hardened their hearts again, says the Bible. As we read this account, we tend to think, what a stubborn man this Pharaoh was. And rightly so. Would he never learn? How many more times did he need to see the amazing hand of God, before he believed that the Lord is truly God?

We live and breathe miracles every single day of our lives. The fact that we are alive to see this day, is a miracle. If we have eyesight to read this devotional today, we are among the privileged few who have both vision and the freedom of religion in our country. The health, the resources, the talents and the abilities that we have, are all gifts and miracles from the Lord. And yet, when faced with challenges in life, we don’t believe. We worry, complain and whine.

Isn’t there a pharaoh in you and me?

Lord, forgive me for my stubbornness and increase my trust in you, I pray.

The Last Plague (Exodus 12:1-30) SALVATION

As John 1:12 says, yet to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God. Have you believed in the Lord Jesus?

When Confused (Exodus 5:22-23) PRAYER

When Confused (Exodus 5:22-23) PRAYER

There may be times when we are confused and have questions too. Let us come to Him, as Moses did, from a place of humility and with a heart willing to listen and obey.

No One But You Will Do (Exodus 3:1-22) CALLING

No One But You Will Do (Exodus 3:1-22) CALLING

God does not just call but also equips, with His presence and His guidance. We just need to obey. If God is calling you, would you say, “Yes Lord,” today, in humble trust and obedience?
