Divine Testimonial (Deuteronomy 34:1-12) LIFE PURPOSE

Published on Mar 22, 2025

Since then, no prophet has risen in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face, who did all those signs and wonders the Lord sent him to do in Egypt—to Pharaoh and to all his officials and to his whole land. For no one has ever shown the mighty power or performed the awesome deeds that Moses did in the sight of all Israel. Deuteronomy 34:10-12

And the scripture records this amazing testimonial the Lord gave about him. Moses is uniquely known as a man who knew God “face to face.” The scriptures called him “the man of God.” Although Moses was outstanding in many ways just as others were also in their generation, his focus on God set him apart. God was Moses’ first and true love. God was Moses’ constant companion, his life’s goal.

Moses was a great man of prayer. Though one of the greatest leaders, Moses was also known as the humblest man that ever lived. He never drew attention to himself. Moses’ faith was unshakeable. Immense intellectual capacity marked his life. Moses was also the greatest spokesman for God and the greatest worker of miracles, by the power of God, in the Old Testament.

Moses was a man of great courage. Nowhere did he show greater courage than in his final hours. Moses was prepared to die, as only those who have deep-rooted trust in God can be. After he delivered his final exhortation to his people, Moses walked confidently up Mount Nebo to be taken home to God.  What a life, what a testimony.

What change do you need to make, to make God increasingly the focus of your life?

Lord, I want to know you more and more. Help me, I pray.
