Peter and John had just been released from prison. They were imprisoned for proclaiming Jesus. The believers pray for power and enabling to proclaim Christ more boldly. What a courageous lot.

Prayer, His Word, His church and worship are wonderful ways that God equips us to proclaim His name, with boldness. Prayer is often the best way to ask God all the questions we have, tell Him how we feel, share problems and opportunities we face. He often waits for us to ask, before giving us what we need, because only when we come to Him humbly, can we receive.

We listen to God through the Bible. All what God wants us to know, about Him and how to live for Him, is contained in its pages. The Holy Spirit will make it come alive to us if we ask for His help. Also, as part of God’s family, our brothers and sisters in Christ have special gifts which God uses to help us. It often helps to talk to other Christians before making important decisions.

Worship is to express love and gratitude to God for all He is and has done. Praising God helps us remember how great He is. It also makes us more able to hear and obey Him and to receive His power.

How well are you using the different forms of help God has given you to grow and proclaim Jesus more boldly?

Lord, give me a heart that believes and worships you and proclaims you with boldness, I pray.
