Where There Is A Will (Mark 2:1-12) FAITH

Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. – Mark 2:4

There simply had to be a way!| WATCH ON YOUTUBE

This great Teacher, Jesus was the talk of the town. Everyone was talking about how He healed so many people of their different diseases. And now He was actually in town. If only they could get their friend to Jesus, thought his friends, he would be healed too. They just had to get him to meet Jesus. But it almost seemed like all of Capernaum had gathered at this house where Jesus was. How would they get him through the crowds?

Finally came the ‘aha’ moment. They would lower him down from the roof! It sure was a crazy thought, but this was an opportunity of a lifetime. It was going to be tough and yet if he did get healed, it sure would be worth every minute of it.

And so, with great effort and difficulty, the four friends managed to carry their friend on a mat, to the roof of the house. They opened the roof enough to let him down to where Jesus was. And the rest, as they say, is history. Jesus saw their faith and healed the man.

What effort, what commitment, what love. Have you ever wondered, what if these friends did not go to the great effort? What if they tried, but gave up? These four friends went to great lengths to get their friend to Jesus. Would you?

Who do you need to bring to Jesus today?

Lord, help me persevere in love to bring my friend to you, I pray.

Amazing Faith (Luke 7:1-10) FAITH

Faith that moves the heart of God is not about worthiness — it’s about believing He can simply speak the word, and it will be done.
