In Quiet Faith We Wait

Published on Oct 1, 2024

Psalm 37:7
Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him

Ever thought, about what is the most
Difficult task for a Christian to relate?
Isn’t it to stay at the place, task, or post
That the Lord has asked you to wait?

If the Lord were to ask us to, on our feet be
Doing many tasks though tough and draining
It would be any day easier, don’t you agree
Rather than to be still and quietly waiting?

The lesson of waiting is often learned
Through many a year in the Master’s school
But to miss that all-important truth
Would be a great loss, just not cool

How we wait though, has a lot to say
About how we face life each day
To be bitter or Him trusting all the way
Is a choice we make, every single day

And yet when we wait in Him, with heart
That is resting in quiet faith and prayer
The therapy for our soul is great
Turning us into jewels, precious and rare.
